Pacers 6 – 0 AFC Pagliaccio

Brought to you in the guise of poetry, By Ash ‘Lonely as a cloud’ Allarakhia:

It t’was a brisk easter sunny sunday morning,
When the Pacers returned to form without forewarning,

They set about their game with a clear and determined focus,
By warming up properly without the usual half arsed hocus pocus.

With the addition of 2 late season signings to add a certain thrill,
Which consisted of an angry canadian and some flair from Brazil!

A storming start from pacers that Pagliaco should have of taken heed,
And it wasn’t long before the mighty blues took an unassailable lead

A one on one which N Kearns gleefully dispatched,
Then Jordan got a penalty (and injury) which was converted by Ash

But alas poor Jordan;s foot began to swell,
As he started to scream  “ah ah ohh fecking hell!”

I’m not too sure what had hurt him the most,
Was it the injury, or the fact that his top scoring was about to be toast!!!

The boy from brazili, Philipe dazzled in midfield with his trickery and flair
And the Pagliaco defenders had no choice but to chop him down like Nath eating a chocolate ecclair!

With the Pagliaco wall lined up like a scene out of usual suspects
Ash cooley fired the ball into the net without remorse or respect!

3-0 and the pacers in cruise control,
And yet the game was only 15 minutes old!

With Nick Earl marshalling the defence like an old head on speed,
Pacers dominated and should have increased their big lead.

Hauser, Nash and Drake looked composed and played the ball out from the back,
And this lead to Pacers continuing the new mantra of ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK!

with some refreshments and a break the Second half started in a similar fashion,
With pacers bombing forward like rabid dogs and getting most of the action,

And with 10 minutes in it soon dawned on the pacers
why it was so easy was that Pagliaco had only been playing with 10 players

Nonetheless Pacers didn’t let up or let this affect their game
And Ben put one in from one yard out (he said ‘they count all the same”)

Evans turn to get involved as he looked to set someone free,
And he slid in a ball which split the defence like moses did with the red sea!

Philipe sneaked through the bedazzled defence and managed to time his neat run,
The keeper came out, gave him a fright, but this boy finished with applomb!

Matt played in the Brazilian once more to stick it in,
6-0 – job done – and the nail was in the coffin!

MOM was close, and to be fair could have gone to more than one
But awarded to Nick Earl, who proved this old horse ain’t ready to be turned into chewing gum!!!

I thank you!!

Happy Pacer Day

This day is here and the sun is shining, hallelujah!

See you all at the Coat & Badge at 1pm.

Pacer Day – Reminder

Guys,

Don’t forget it’s Pacer Day on Friday.  We will be meeting in the Coat and Badge in Putney from 1pm to get royally wrecked.

Please can you indicate via the form on the previous post if you will be attending (so far we have half a dozen yesses, but still lots of no responses), so that I can order in enough strippers etc etc.

This really is the highlight of the year for us boys, you might get to see Jez wearing a lampshade as a hat, Stu insulting ginger babies, Ash nearly getting beat up on Putney High st, Nath getting shoved into oncoming traffic, Jord smashing into shop windows, kevlar laying in the bins, kev d getting aggro with noonan, the list of fun is truly endless!…

Get amongst it.
